Ladner Village Branding

The City is developing a Ladner Village brand to express the area’s identity, character, and sense of place. The work builds on earlier community engagement, where residents and businesses shared the importance of protecting the Village’s character while allowing it to evolve. Drawing from that input, along with local history and conversations with community members, the City developed a unifying brand idea, Shaped by the River, and two preliminary brand concepts to support further community feedback before a preferred direction is brought forward to Council.

Chisholm Street Upgrades

The City is also seeking feedback on a preliminary design concept for Chisholm Street that builds on recent improvements at the Chisholm Street Wharf. The concept explores a more people-focused street that strengthens connections between Ladner Village and the waterfront, and includes a potential one-way, westbound traffic configuration, angled parking, and a multi-use pathway connecting to nearby amenities. Parking considerations, informed by a recent parking study, will continue to be part of the discussion as community feedback is gathered.
