The facility would be approximately 14,630square feet and would feature six retractable batting areas, a 9,000 sq. ft. turf surface, two interior washrooms, four exterior public washrooms, a meeting room, a concession area and storage area.

The City of Delta would own the facility. LMBA will be responsible for operating the facility through a lease provided by the City of Delta.

LMBA will be responsible for operation of the facility including allocation to other Delta-based sport groups and organizations.

LMBA will have sole discretion to book and allocate the Facility and the Delta will have access to any remaining hours that may be available, at no cost, for community programs and services.

The facility is estimated to cost approximately $3,700,000, which is funded by LMBA and the City.

The City will contribute the land and approximately $150,000 towards servicing the site for construction. Additionally, the City will be responsible for the maintenance of the building envelope over the course of the lease.

The proposed term is 20 years (two 10 year terms).

The proposed facility has the ability to serve multiple sports. LMBA will be responsible for allocating and booking the facility based on agreed upon principles with the City.

The Cromie Park Master Plan began consultations in May 2021 to receive feedback from the community about the upgrades to Cromie Park, which will include:

• New baseball facilities, including a new fieldhouse and revitalization of the existing all-weather field into a third baseball diamond
• A relocated and enlarged parking lot, designed to manage traffic and speeds within the parking area and 49 street
• Retention of the existing path connection to Ladner Elementary School
• General park improvements including a community gathering space under the shade structure near the pickleball courts, ample seating, and a small playground.
