We are now in the third round of engagement. We invite you to view the project team’s final traffic calming recommendations and complete the survey by June 30, 2025. The recommendations were developed based on technical analysis and feedback received in the first and second rounds of engagement. The final recommendations will enhance safety for everyone, including people who drive, walk, bike, and roll.

Study Background

The Royal York Traffic Calming Study is to address concerns raised by residents regarding traffic safety, speeding, and pedestrian accessibility in the area. The project is currently in its initial stage, where the team is actively seeking input from the community to understand their concerns and suggestions better. The primary goals of the Study are:

  • Enhancing road safety for all users, including drivers, cyclists, pedestrians, and those using mobility aids.
  • Improving overall mobility and accessibility within the neighborhood.
  • Ensuring the neighborhood remains a safe, accessible, and livable environment for all.

The project team will use engineering solutions informed by technical analysis and community feedback to achieve these goals. This approach will involve using data to identify the most effective traffic calming measures and incorporating the community's needs and desires into the planning process.
