Recycle it Right!

Recycle it Right introduces three key changes to Delta's residential recycling program.

The following sorting requirements are now in place:

  1. Combine newspaper with paper and cardboard in the Yellow Bag or Mixed Paper Bin
  2. Separate glass containers into the new Grey Box or Glass Bin
  3. Only place plastic and metal containers and paper cups and cartons in the Blue Box or Containers Bin - plastic bags and foam containers are no longer accepted (you can return them to local depots for recycling!)

These changes are required as the City of Delta has joined Recycle BC, the not-for-profit organization responsible for the majority of residential packaging and paper recycling in the province. Aligning with Recycle BC's program will help ensure that the material we collect can be recycled to its maximum potential and save us money.

New collection containers and information guides were delivered to all properties in August and September. Please contact us if you're missing any materials.
