Delta Poverty Reduction Strategy

Phase 1: Delta Poverty Needs Assessment Report

Phase 2: Delta Poverty Reduction Public Engagement Report

Share your views! The City of Delta, in partnership with LevelUp Planning Collaborative, is conducting a Poverty Reduction Needs Assessment and developing an Action Plan. This project will help us understand the unique needs and struggles of Delta residents and identify steps we can take to make sure that all residents thrive.

Now in Phase 2 of the project, public engagement, we are seeking input to help inform the strategy and get a better understanding of how poverty affects everyone throughout the City.

Provide Your Input

Use the link below to take the City of Delta’s Community Well-being survey and share your views and ideas for improving the well-being and quality of life in our community.

An offline paper survey is also available at the following locations:

Surveys are also available in Punjabi, Spanish and Tagalog. If you would like to access a paper survey in one of these languages, please contact us so we can get one your way.

If you know of other high-traffic locations that could benefit from having paper surveys available, please contact us to discuss.

Thank you for your time and contribution! Your responses will help guide the strategic direction for reducing poverty in the City and will help contribute to making the community a better, more resilient and healthier place to live, learn work and play. Everyone benefits when a community and its population are thriving but the whole community will be needed to help us get there!

Share Your Experience

Do you have a story or experience to tell about poverty in your community? It does not have to be a personal story but maybe you can tell us about the challenges and successes you have seen, or something that has affected you. Sharing this experience will help us to understand the current situation in Delta and may help to break down stigmas and gain a new perspective on this challenging topic.

All forms of storytelling are accepted and greatly appreciated. Whether you want to send written material, share a quote or send photos, share with us in any way you like. This is your chance to tell us your story, your way.

You are also entitled to privacy when it comes to highly personal experiences, but there is power in opening up and telling your story. Stories posted here will be publicly available as a story goes far beyond reports, facts and data. We are inviting you to use the power of storytelling to share your experiences with poverty. Sharing can be a step forward in your own personal healing. It can also empower others who are affected and may even encourage others to open up and share their experiences as well. Should you want to share your experiences privately, please contact lavleen@levelupplanning.ca and we will gladly listen and make sure your shared experience is used privately for this assessment.

Thank you!
