The City of Delta has now concluded the public engagement phase of the North Delta Transportation Study. Thank you to all residents who participated and provided valuable feedback.
This study aims to assess current and future transportation needs to support the community’s ongoing growth. In February 2025, residents were invited to share their feedback and pinpoint areas in need of improvement through an online mapping tool and open house discussions.
What’s Next? The feedback received is now being reviewed and carefully considered as we move forward with developing a 10-year road network plan. This plan will help guide future transportation infrastructure improvements, particularly in areas of increased density outlined in Delta’s Official Community Plan.
The study focuses on key transportation priorities, including:
Enhancing intersections and roadways to reduce congestion
Improving on-street parking strategies
Identifying potential new transit routes and bus stops
Exploring options for new road connections to improve vehicle flow
Promoting active transportation through expanded infrastructure
We appreciate the community’s participation and will provide updates as the study progresses. Stay tuned for more information on the next steps and implementation plans.
