The public engagement phase for the Making Delta More Inclusive Project has concluded. Thank you to all who participated! The survey report has been released.
As of February 2024, the survey results for the Newcomer Survey have published and can be found here.
To better understand the needs of Delta’s growing diverse community, the City launched the Newcomer Survey in September 2023.
Canada has one of the highest immigration rates per population of any country in the world. Immigrants come from many different countries, bringing with them their cultural, ethnic, linguistic and religious heritage.
With one third of Delta’s population being immigrants and nearly one half of its residents being racialized, Delta, similar to other Canadian cities, has become a more vibrant and culturally diverse community. Supporting our newcomer and racialized residents has been identified as one of the key priorities in Delta’s Social Action Plan.
