Delta residents are invited to participate in our 16th annual Photo Contest!
This year’s theme, Natural Areas, encourages participants to explore and celebrate the unique ecosystems found throughout Delta, including the Delta Nature Reserve, the Fraser River Estuary, Watershed Park, Boundary Bay, and so many more. These natural areas play a vital role in supporting native species and biodiversity, making them essential components of our community's ecological health.
Mayor George V. Harvie shared his excitement for the contest, stating, "The Earth Day Photo Contest is a wonderful opportunity for our community to come together and celebrate the natural wonders that make Delta so breathtaking and unique. I encourage residents of all ages to participate and share their perspective on our stunning landscapes and natural environment."
Who Can Participate?
Participants can enter the contest in the following categories:
Adult (18+ years)
Youth (13-17 years)
Child (5-12 years)
City of Delta staff
Prizes
Exciting prizes await the winners; there will be 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place awards for each category. A Grand Prize winner will be selected out of all eligible entries received and a Fan Favourite winner will be chosen by public vote, which will be open to Delta residents from April 5 -14, 2024.
How to Enter
To enter, complete the photo waiver form featured in the "Upload your photo" section below on this page and upload your unaltered photo taken in Delta.
Optional: participants can include a title and brief description highlighting how Natural Areas positively impact their lives.
Please ensure there are no people's faces captured in your photo!
The entry deadline is Wednesday, April 3, 2024. Don't miss this chance to showcase your creativity and appreciation for Delta's natural beauty!
