Survey #2 - Tell us which actions you support and are most important to you
As the City of Delta builds the new Community Energy and Emissions Plan (“CEEP”), we want to ensure the actions we include reflect community priorities.
While the CEEP builds on Delta’s achievements and climate action to date, it will be our pathway forward to rapidly reduce the greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions that pollute our city and contribute to climate change. It’s important to us that the plan is relevant and effective for our city; thank you for taking the time to lend your perspective.
This is the second of two surveys in the CEEP development process. The first survey helped us understand residents’ values around climate change. This second survey will build upon those results, and give us a better idea of which actions are most important to residents. In this survey, we will ask you to consider the specific ways we can rethink and transform how we heat and cool our buildings, how we get around, and how we dispose of our solid waste. It is important to remember that the actions listed here are just those that, as a local government, we have authority and a responsibility to address. Science tells us that there are six Big Moves local governments can prioritize to reduce emissions; they are shown in the graphic above. Each section of this survey digs deeper into strategies we as a local government can prioritize to reach Big Moves goals.
