How will this project benefit residents?
What impact will there be during construction for residents that live along 72 Avenue?
Driveway accesses will be impacted during the placement of new sidewalk and asphalt. These driveway closures will be short in duration and the contractor will allow access as soon as it is safe to do so. All residents will be informed of the paving schedule in advance to minimize the inconvenience to residents.
Will construction occur at night?
In order to minimize traffic disruption, the asphalt overlay works will be undertaken during the overnight hours when traffic is minimal. Noise from the repaving works is anticipated to be minimal with the back-up truck beepers being the largest generator of noise. A notice to residents will be provided ahead of any night work to advise nearby residents of the upcoming construction works and schedule.
