The City of Delta is proud to present the 10th annual Community Banner Contest, a competition for Delta residents to create a street banner that will raise awareness and promote Delta&rsquo;s natural beauty, culture, and diversity while engaging the community and showcasing local artists of all ages.<hr>How to Enter <ul><li>Review the <a href="https://letstalk.delta.ca/46152/widgets/193841/documents/142985">contest rules and guidelines</a>.</li><li>Choose a category for your submission<ul><li>Delta Culture and Heritage (open category)<ul><li>Depict Delta&#39;s vibrant culture or heritage from your lens. </li></ul></li><li>Discover Delta (open category)<ul><li>Depict the uniqueness or hidden gems found throughout Delta. </li></ul></li><li>Diversity in Delta (open category)<ul><li>Depict the beauty of diversity in Delta. </li></ul></li><li>Emerging Artists (ages 13 to 17 years old) </li><li>Budding Artists (up to 12 years old) </li></ul></li><li>Enter the contest by completing the <a href="https://letstalk.delta.ca/admin/projects/bannercontest-2/survey_tools/50821" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">entry form and waiver/release</a> and uploading your artwork.</li></ul>We are currently only accepting online submissions. If your submission was hand drawn or painted, please take a photo of your design and submit the photo. One winner will be chosen from each of the following categories:<ul><li>Delta Culture and Heritage (open category) </li><li>Discover Delta (open category) </li><li>Diversity in Delta (open category) </li><li>Emerging Artists (ages 13 to 17 years old) </li><li>Budding Artists (up to 12 years old) </li></ul>The winning design from each category will be displayed on City of Delta street banners during the spring of 2025. An honorarium and a street banner with the winner&rsquo;s design will be awarded to each winner.

2024 Community Banner Contest

Every year, the City plans for how tax dollars and other funding will be invested to provide the services and infrastructure Delta residents count on and enjoy. Residents are invited to get involved in this important process. Here is how you can participate in shaping the 2025 Budget:Phase 1: Gather Input (September 2024)The budget engagement process will begin much earlier than in prior years in order to gather input that can be considered in the preparation of the budget. Beginning in September, the community will be invited to consider the City&rsquo;s progress on its Goals and Priorities and complete a feedback form at letstalkdelta.ca and at City Hall to share their ideas. The information collected will be provided to staff, made available to the community and shared with Council at a public meeting to introduce the draft 2025 Financial Plan.Complete a form for a chance to win one of five $100 gift cards! All participants who complete the form and provide their email or phone number will be entered in a draw.Phase 2: Confirm Direction (October- November 2024)The second phase will occur in October and November. As part of this phase, the draft financial plan will be shared with the community for feedback. Residents will have the opportunity to attend meetings with staff and learn more about what is being considered as well as provide comments.
