Are trails going to be closed? If so, which ones and for how long?
Yes, there will be temporary trail closures. For the safety of park users, the contractor will post signs and staff where trails are closed during tree falling operations. Trail closures will be short in duration (a few hours or less) and will take only a few days in total. See trail closure map at the bottom of the main page.
Why is City of Delta doing this project?
This project is designed to reduce the potential wildfire spread in Watershed Park and surrounding area.
