Consultation has concluded.
With on-going development and growing employment in the Tilbury area, there is an increased demand for pedestrian facilities in the Tilbury Industrial Park. There are more people taking transit for their commute and the city had received requests for providing a sidewalk along Progress Way. As a result, Council had approved funding for this project in 2022 financial plan.
Proposed Improvements include:
New 1.5m wide concrete sidewalk on the south side of Progress Way.
Upgraded existing streetlights with LED fixtures.
Roadway rehabilitated and new pavement markings.
Drainage improvements.
Restoration work to connect sidewalk to existing driveways with asphalt ramps.
Traffic Impacts:
During the Progress Way works, please use caution while travelling in this area and obey road/construction signs, posted speed limits, and traffic control personnel. We will make every effort to minimize the inconvenience to the local area; however, with work of this nature, some inconvenience will be unavoidable, and we ask for your patience and cooperation during construction.
