Pop-Up Parks

Bask in the glow of a mid-July golden hour while casually playing board games with your pals. Or, use the cool breeze of a summer evening to tilt the paddle just enough to score a point in a casual game of ping pong. Outfitted with all the amenities to make each night a memorable one, Delta’s Pop-Up Parks create the perfect opportunity for residents and visitors to enjoy local take out and partake in a favourite outdoor summer activity.

Delta's Pop-Up Parks can be found throughout the city at the following locations:


Elliott Street Wharf - 5000 Elliott Street

  • Covered picnic tables
  • Adirondack chairs
  • Colourful outdoor rocking chairs
  • Moveable table and chairs
  • Draped patio lighting
  • Piano painted by a local artist

South Delta Art Gallery Pop-up Park - 1710 56 Street

  • Mini golf
  • Ping pong table with paddles and balls
  • Art installations by a local artist
  • Outdoor chalkboard
  • Lawn games
  • Picnic tables
  • Adirondack chairs

Sungod Recreation Centre - 7815 112th Street

  • Foosball
  • Ping pong table with paddles and balls (ask for balls at front desk)
  • Outdoor chalkboard
  • Lawn games (giant Jenga, Connect4, tic tac toe, cornhole)
  • Picnic tables
  • Moveable tables and chairs

Gunderson Park - 7630 117 Street

  • Five hole disc golf course designed with a local disc golf group
  • Signage has been posted to explain the rules of the game and safety precautions

Bridge Street - between Delta Street and Harbour Stroll

  • Street mural painted by the community
  • Bocce court with ball set
  • Adirondack chairs
  • Picnic tables with umbrellas
  • Tables and chairs with umbrellas
  • Cornhole game
  • Fingerboard Park (mini skateboards)
  • Lawn games (giant Jenga, Connect4, tic tac toe, cornhole)
