Aryan loves to play with all the pillows around the house. He sits on the pile of the pillows and pretend he is the king of the castle

    Great-Oma’s 99th Birthday!

by Josiah Goertzen, about 4 years ago
Josiah has been learning to draw during this time at home in spring / summer. To wish his Great-Oma a happy birthday, he wanted to draw a picture of him and his brother (Micah) wishing her a happy birthday. It was his choice what the message said as well. His Great-Oma turns 99 on September 12!

    Under the hoop

by Maya Sirton, about 4 years ago

This is a photo I took of my sister using the aerial hoop in our front yard in Tsawwassen. My sister made this hoop at Delta Secondary School in metal working class during her grade 11 year. We put it up every summer to practice circus tricks on, but this summer it has gotten much more use because of the fact that most activities are closed due to Covid-19.

    Recycled Alien

by Melly, about 4 years ago

    David‘s story:

One of my favourite projects this summer has been making forts and crazy things out of recycling and old materials. This is a picture of one of my favourites. I cut arm and eye holes in a giant box, then painted it and added lots of stickers. It became an alien costume!

I wear it around the house and in my yard to make my sister and neighbours laugh. The picture was taken Aug 28 at my house.

    A Painting Pandemic

by Sahaana Grewal, about 4 years ago

Since Covid began in March, I have been spending time painting. Painting is fun because you can get creative. I have made many different types of paintings, most of them are based on Disney, and landscapes. This is one of my favourites.

    Mug Cakes Are Great!

by Lucas Kluge, about 4 years ago

I have been making mug cakes this summer. I even made apple pies in a mug! I used apples from the Okanagan. I made some for my family and my neighbours - we live in Ladner. They were all good and I love learning to bake!!
