An in-person meeting was held on May 1, 2024 for neighbours to view the proposal, ask questions and share comments. The public comment period closed on May 12th. Staff have compiled and summarized all the feedback for anonymous inclusion an upcoming report to Council. A copy of the consultation summary is available in the City Documents folder.

This development proposal is consistent with draft new Official Community Plan bylaw 8400, 2024 designation of Neighbourhood Centers and Corridors (NC) intended for multi-unit residential and mixed uses in neighbourhood centers and along major corridors. Under new Provincial legislation, Delta is prohibited from holding a public hearing for rezoning bylaw amendments for residential or mixed-use applications that are consistent with the OCP.
