Consultation has concluded

The City of Delta invites you to engage in the community consultation process regarding the proposed replacement of the playground in Ladner Lions Park.

The City of Delta's Playground Replacement Program annually adjusts playground priorities based on condition assessments and also helps implement/support the latest findings on child development while keeping the safety of all City of Delta playground facilities paramount.

We've heard from the community that the proposed changes to Ladner Lions Park playground may not meet the needs of everyone so we want to make sure we get this right and local children have the playground that will serve them best.

Council has directed that the City Manager report back to Council regarding the Playground Renewal Program Work proposed for Ladner Lions Park and that the Parks, Recreation and Culture Commission have the opportunity to review and discuss the matter at a meeting in September 2021.

With this in mind, this community consultation is intended to provide residents an opportunity to review the proposed Ladner Lions playground, put forward thoughts and recommendations on the proposal, and also express their desire to retain the existing playground.

Residents can provide feedback in two ways:

  • Attend an on-site community consultation session adjacent to the Ladner Lions Park playground on the following dates and times:
    • Sunday, September 12, from 11 am to 2 pm
    • Wednesday, September 15, from 4 pm to 6:30 pm
    • Saturday, September 18, from 9:30 am to 12 pm
  • Share your input in the feedback form below. The feedback form is open until October 6, 2021.
