Delta’s Heritage Conservation Grant was created to help preserve our community’s unique historical properties. While the grant offers generous financial support to eligible property owners, it is not being used as much as it could be. Only a few applications are received each year.

How to Get Involved

We’re looking for your input to understand what’s working, what’s not, and how we can make the program better.

  • Complete the feedback form by Friday, May 23, 2025.

We’ve created a short feedback form to engage with the community on how we can better connect heritage owners to the grant. Whether you own a heritage property or care about Delta’s history, we’d love to hear from you.

What is the Heritage Conservation Grant?

This grant provides funding of up to $30,000 per year, covering up to 50% of the costs for restoration, repairs, and other improvements to heritage properties. To be eligible, a property must be listed in Delta’s Heritage Inventory and added to the Heritage Registry. Additionally, a Heritage Conservation Covenant must be registered on title for 10 years.

What's Next

All feedback collected here will help inform updates to the grant program. We’ll report back to Council and the community later this year with proposed improvements.

There are two ways to check if your property is on Delta's Heritage Inventory, review the list of addresses here or enter your address on DeltaMap. Contact Community Planning (Development Department) at development@delta.ca or 604-946-3380 if you need any assistance.
