Mayor's Vaccination Challenge
The City of Delta will be planting trees for anyone that takes part in the Mayor's Vaccination Challenge.
About the Challenge:
On May 27, 2021, Fraser Health launched a “Mayor’s Challenge” campaign, partnering with regional mayors for a friendly challenge to increase immunization rates in Fraser Health communities. Achieving community immunity is essential as Fraser Health is the largest health authority in the province and the area with the highest number of COVID-19 cases.
With everyone ages 12 and over now eligible to register and book for their immunization, mayors across the region are encouraging their residents to get immunized and be the first community to herd immunity.
This challenge will see which community can achieve 70%, 75%, and 80% immunization thresholds first, and the community that shows the most progress.
Updates will be shared on social media by participating Mayors and Fraser Health.
How to participate:
The process is simple. To get a tree planted in your name, all you have to do is tell us about your vaccination experience in the feedback box below.
