Ferry Road Boat Launch

Overview

The City of Delta is working to replace the two lane boat launch located at Ferry Road in Ladner. The replacement boat launch will have improved functional use outside of high tide conditions.

Removal and construction of the new boat launch will take place between November 1, 2024 and January 31, 2025, to limit impact to the local fish habitat and to minimize disruption during traditional peak boating season.

Works involved in the project include:

• Removal of existing boat ramp and associated features;
• Installation a larger boat ramp and rip-rap protection, resulting in new, expanded footprints of 12m² and 130m² , respectively; and,
• Dredging of approximately 685m³ of sediment from the area approaching the boat ramp;
• Extension of the float to increase boat capacity.
