Delta City Hall is currently undergoing construction to upgrade and maintain infrastructure in an effort to improve sustainability alongside staff's ability to serve the community. Part of these works will include the addition of a vestibule to the main entrance at City Hall.
The purpose of developing a new front entranceway includes:
improving climate control of the front lobby space by limiting cool air escaping in the summer and restricting cold outside air entering in the winter.
improving ease of access to City Hall;
The targeted construction period begins on August 1, 2024, with completion targeted for October 31, 2024.
The estimated project cost is $1.2 million.
During the construction period, hours of operation at City Hall will be reduced to 9 am to 4 pm for the public. A temporary entrance point will be affixed to City Hall, directly north of the existing access doors.
Due to the reduced hours, as well as the construction generated noise, we encourage residents to access our services online at Delta.ca/Services.
