📋Project Background
The City sought community feedback on the design and operation of the Coast-to-Coast Trail and the pilot disc golf course at Diefenbaker Park. Since both projects share space within Diefenbaker Park, this engagement provided an opportunity for residents to share input on one or both projects through a single process.
Coast-to-Coast Trail
The Coast-to-Coast Trail is a proposed mixed-use greenway connecting Fred Gingell Park and Centennial Beach. The Trail will be developed using existing pathways, sidewalks, and park trails, with targeted upgrades along the route. No new separated multi-use pathways are proposed as part of this project. Four fitness nodes are planned along the Trail to provide opportunities for active breaks and informal exercise.
Diefenbaker Park Disc Golf
The 12-hole disc golf course at Diefenbaker Park has operated as a pilot since spring 2025. The course was introduced to replace the former course at Winskill Park and was developed with input from disc golf user groups and a professional course designer, with the goal of balancing disc golf with other park uses. The purpose of this engagement is to identify any outstanding concerns or opportunities from the community that can be addressed before the project becomes a permanent feature at the park.
