Construction of the new sidewalk and LED street lighting in the 112A Street and 89 Avenue neighbourhood (Phase 1) is scheduled to start on August 18, 2025. Construction is expected to complete in October, 2025, weather permitting. Construction of Phase 2 is scheduled for Summer, 2026.

The improvements include 1.8m wide concrete sidewalk and LED street lighting on one side of the road behind the existing curb within the municipal boulevard. A public consultation with the community was held in February 2025. In response to the feedback received, the design for sidewalk along certain road sections was modified. Please refer to the project presentation drawings and design updates for more information.
