A design has been developed for sidewalk in the neighbourhood bounded by 88 Avenue, 90 Avenue, 112A Street, and 115 Street in North Delta. This project is part of Delta’s annual sidewalk improvements program aimed at providing missing sidewalk in local neighbourhoods. The improvements will enhance pedestrian safety, promote active transportation and improve accessibility in the community.
The improvements include 1.8m wide concrete sidewalk and LED street lighting on one side of the road behind the existing curb within the municipal boulevard. A public consultation with the community was held in February 2025. In response to the feedback received, the design for sidewalk along certain road sections is modified. Please refer to the project presentation drawings and design updates for more information.
As next steps, the project will proceed with detailed design. The construction is scheduled to take place in two phases in summer 2025 and 2026. Please refer to the location map for details.
