The City of Delta is seeking feedback on a proposed sidewalk in the neighbourhood bounded by 88 Avenue, 90 Avenue, 112A Street, and 115 Street in North Delta. This project is part of Delta’s annual sidewalk improvements program aimed at providing missing sidewalk in local neighbourhoods. The improvements will enhance pedestrian safety, promote active transportation and improve accessibility in the community.
The proposed improvements include 1.8m wide concrete sidewalk and LED street lighting on one side of the road behind the existing curb within the municipal boulevard. Please see the presentation drawings for more information.
The construction of the project is scheduled to take place in two phases in 2025 and 2026. Please refer to the location map for details.
A Public Information Meeting with City staff will be held to discuss the proposed design with the community and make adjustments as necessary. The meeting is scheduled for:
Date: February 19, 2025
Time: 5:30pm – 7:30pm (open house drop-in format)
Location: Devon Gardens Elementary School (Gymnasium) – 8884 Russell Drive, Delta, BC.
We welcome and encourage input to this project and look forward to hearing feedback at the meeting. If you are not able to attend, please provide your comments in the comment box below by March 1, 2025.
