About the Project
Construction of temporary curb extensions and pavement markings will begin soon near the intersections of 47A Avenue and Garry Street and is scheduled to be completed by mid-December. Hours of work will be from 7:00 am - 7:00 pm, Monday to Friday.
Staff conducted a study of intersection safety improvements and traffic calming along the 47A Avenue corridor and concluded that 47A Avenue at Garry Street would benefit from additional traffic safety measures.
Impact to Residents and Businesses
Access for residents and businesses will be maintained at all times. There may be some lane closures as the work is being performed but it will be of a short duration and two way traffic will be maintained at all times. With work of this nature, some inconvenience will be unavoidable. We ask for your patience and cooperation during construction.
