Every year, the City plans for how tax dollars and other funding will be invested to provide the services and infrastructure Delta residents count on and enjoy. Residents are invited to get involved in this important process.
This fall, residents were invited to review the City's progress on its goals and priorities and share their suggestions. This information was shared with staff and Council and can be reviewed in the Phase 1 Community Engagement Report.
Now, the City has released the draft 2025 budget for residents to review and share their feedback. See the 2025 Budget Engagement Guide below for information on what is included in this year's proposed budget and what it means to you and then complete the feedback form to let the City know if the budget is headed in the right direction.
Feedback will be collected through to Nov. 3 and the results will be presented to Council at the start of their Budget Workshops on Nov. 13 and shared with staff to consider in this and future budgets.

2025 Budget Online Info Session
Delta staff were on the streets in North Delta talking to residents about what the City is doing well and what the City should work on. Hear what your fellow community members had to say!
The budget engagement process will begin much earlier than in prior years in order to gather input that can be considered in the preparation of the budget. Beginning in September, the community will be invited to consider the City’s progress on its Goals and Priorities and complete a feedback form at letstalkdelta.ca and at City Hall to share their ideas. The information collected will be provided to staff, made available to the community and shared with Council at a public meeting to introduce the draft 2025 Financial Plan.
Complete a form for a chance to win one of five $100 gift cards! All participants who complete the form and provide their email or phone number will be entered in a draw. Winners will be notified by October 25.
Phase 2: Confirm Direction (October- November 2024)
2025 Budget is currently at this stage
The second phase will occur in October and November. As part of this phase, the draft financial plan will be shared with the community for feedback. Residents will have the opportunity to attend meetings with staff and learn more about what is being considered as well as provide comments.
