The City of Delta is seeking feedback on the proposed multi-use pathway along the south side of 12 Avenue between English Bluff Road and 56 Street. The project is part of Delta’s annual Cycle Infrastructure program aimed at expanding pedestrian and cycling routes within the community. The pathway will improve connectivity to Boundary Bay Regional Park, Centennial Beach, and Tsawwassen Town Centre creating safer and more accessible travel options.

The proposed improvements include:

  • Cycling Improvements: New 3.0 metre wide asphalt multi-use pathway (MUP) on the south side of 12 Avenue between English Bluff Road and 56 Street
  • Boulevard: New grassed boulevard and street trees separating the MUP from the roadway
  • Lighting Enhancements: New LED streetlights and pathway lighting

Please refer to the presentation drawings for more information.

A public information meeting with City staff will be held to seek feedback from the community on the proposed concept design and make adjustment as necessary. The meeting is scheduled for:

  • Date: October 22, 2025
  • Time: 5:00pm – 7:00pm (open house drop-in format)
  • Location: Winskill Park Fieldhouse – 1037 56 Street, Delta, BC.

The cycling improvements along this route are identified in Delta’s Cycling Master Plan. For more information regarding Delta's current cycling routes, please refer to the Delta Routes Map. The construction of the project is anticipated to take place in 2028.

We welcome and encourage input from public to this project and look forward to hearing feedback at the meeting. If you are not able to attend in-person, please provide your comments in the comment box below by November 7, 2025.
